Bennington has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Lincoln Northwest Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bennington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Bennington can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Roncalli Catholic with a sharp 76-51 victory. Given Bennington's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Roncalli Catholic is ranked 137th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bennington's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Addison Reinoehl, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Harper Bohaboj, who scored 12 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reinoehl has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Presley Baca, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Northwest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mercy.
Bennington's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Lincoln Northwest, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
