Alexandra Pasquarelli and Jacksen Powell certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Pasquarelli scored 11 points along with two steals, while Powell scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Pasquarelli grabbed two or more steals. Kinzie Cleaver was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
The win got Pleasanton back to even at 4-4. As for Erie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Pleasanton will head out on the road to challenge Marmaton Valley on Tuesday. Marmaton Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pleasanton in Kansas (Marmaton Valley is ranked 113th, while Pleasanton is ranked 263rd). As for Erie, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fredonia at 6:00 p.m. Fredonia has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
