After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Andrew's Episcopal, French Camp Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Velma Jackson Falcons get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. Considering the Panthers have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

French Camp Academy let Eli Withers and Vitaly Ferguson run wild. Withers scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Ferguson scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave Ferguson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Logan Wright, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

French Camp Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive contests.

French Camp Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-6. As for Velma Jackson, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: French Camp Academy beat Velma Jackson by a score of 16-1 later that day.
