Logansport is 10-0 against Montgomery since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Last Thursday, Logansport didn't have too much trouble with St. Mary on the road as they won 20-3.
Logansport's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but D'warr'tez Chatman led the charge by gaining 72 total yards and a touchdown. Dakamden Flemon was another key contributor, rushing for 49 yards and a touchdown.
Montgomery never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Westminster Christian Academy last Friday. They blew past the 41-18.
Among those leading the charge was Jacorian Shepherd, who punched in three rushing scores.
Logansport's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 Northwood and 3-7 Rosepine (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.8% over those games). As for Montgomery, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Logansport against Montgomery in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 54-0 win. Will Logansport repeat their success, or does Montgomery have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
