Basketball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Harriman's Third in Last Four Outings

Harriman hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost four straight) but thanks in part to Ansley Moore that streak is no more. The Harriman Blue Devils walked away with a 60-50 victory over the Knoxville Central Bobcats on Monday thanks in part to Moore, who went 8 of 18 on her way to 26 points along with seven boards and three steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Rose, who posted seven points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in February.

Harriman is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Knoxville Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harriman will welcome Rockwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Knoxville Central, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Carter at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
