Scranton never let their opponents score on Monday. They walked away with  a   5-0  win over the West Scranton Invaders. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered  a  2-1  loss the last time these two teams met.
Not much got past  Thor Kelly, who gave up just  four  hits and racked up eight Ks to keep West Scranton off the board. Kelly also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Scranton is 3-1 when he allows at  most  two  earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

 At the plate,  Henry Bartlebaugh was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  three  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Thomas Bartlebaugh was another key player,  earning one  run and two  stolen bases.
 Scranton  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Scranton struck out eight times.
Scranton has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Scranton, they moved to 4-7 with that  defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scranton will square off against Mid Valley at 4:45  p.m.  on Thursday. As for West Scranton, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Delaware Valley  at 4:30  p.m.
