The Schlarman Hilltoppers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 62-46 bruising from Georgetown-Ridge Farm. Schlarman was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffaloes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Schlarman's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Kuemmerle, who scored 21 points along with two steals. That was a full 45.7% of Schlarman's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Princeton Rush, who scored 13 points.
Schlarman has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, their win ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-20.
Schlarman will square off against the Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cissna Park is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the at 7:00 p.m.
