After flying high against the Cameron Yellow Jackets last Friday, the Crowder Demons came back down to earth. Crowder was outmatched by Wright City at home and fell 67-17. While losing is never fun, Crowder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while Wright City is ranked 41st).
Wright City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ali Gibson out in front who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braileigh Threadgill, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Crowder's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.7 points per game. As for Wright City, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.
Crowder does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wright City also has no future games currently scheduled.
