Mountain Ridge is a perfect 3-0 against Cedar Valley since May of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Sentinels will host the Aviators at 3:30 p.m. Mountain Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Mountain Ridge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Westlake, who was ranked 17th at the time (Mountain Ridge was ranked 13th). The Sentinels blew past the Thunder 9-3 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Sentinels, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sydney Lambert made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Kelli Christiansen was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Avery Rawlins, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Cedar Valley was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Herriman, falling 9-2.
Cedar Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aspen Langi, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Mountain Ridge pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Cedar Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
Everything went Mountain Ridge's way against Cedar Valley in their previous matchup back in March, as Mountain Ridge made off with a 10-2 victory. Will the Sentinels repeat their success, or do the Aviators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
