Baseball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

The Franklin Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Jackson County Generals on Wednesday and fell 4-2.

Franklin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Standifer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Standifer is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jackson County, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Coming up, Franklin will challenge Casey County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson County, they will square off against Trinity at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.2 runs per game on average), something the Generals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
