Northeastern's defeat was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Fairbanks, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.
Northeastern took a serious blow against the Panthers in their previous meeting on Wednesday, falling 47-6. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Fairbanks' Ally Gearheart, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
