Hawthorne have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Secaucus at 7:00 PM. Hawthorne don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Hawthorne put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season two weeks ago. They took their contest against Pompton Lakes by a conclusive 30-6 score. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
Meanwhile, after a dominant win in their matchup, Secaucus were humbled last Friday. They were completely outmatched, falling 7-42 to New Milford. Secaucus were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-28.
Hawthorne's victory lifted them to 3-2 while Secaucus's defeat dropped them down to 2-3. We'll see if Hawthorne's success rolls on or if Secaucus are able to steal their positive momentum.
