It was a good run, but The Parkview Baptist Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They were dealt a 55-21 defeat at the hands of University Lab. Parkview Baptist has struggled against University Lab recently, as their match on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brock Comeaux, who picked up 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Comeaux was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 63 yards. Kayden Tureaud was another key contributor, rushing for 104 yards and a touchdown.
Parkview Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for University Lab, their victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 9-1.
Parkview Baptist will take on Jefferson RISE Charter at TBD on Friday. Jefferson RISE Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Parkview Baptist is ranked 81st). University Lab does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
