The Hamilton Bulldogs lost against the Clifton Cubs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hamilton fell just short of Clifton by a score of 49-46. While losing is never fun, Hamilton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1218th, while Clifton is ranked 567th).
Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Mike Bushnell, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Colter Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds.
Hamilton's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 8-11. As for Clifton, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will take on Italy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clifton, they will be playing at home against Rio Vista at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
