Central A recap October 8, 2013
Belgrade's Brayden Konkol recorded the longest rushing play in Central A this season in his game against Havre last week. Konkol scampered for 79 yards on the play and finished with 155 on the day as his team bested the Blue Ponies.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Belgrade beat Havre 37-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for Eric Kinnaman's team.
The Panthers' dynamic duo of Konkol and Koby Ruff proved tough for Jason Christenson's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Konkol threw for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns and Ruff had 44 yards receiving. Tristan Walker helped Belgrade's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 32 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Blue Ponies' Dane Warp and Thomas Gruber have proven to be a lethal combination. Warp has thrown for 1,183 yards this season, while Gruber has 18 catches for 345 yards. Konkol from Belgrade leads the league in rushing with 768 yards.
As it stands, the Panthers are in first, while Browning is in fourth.
Havre lost to Belgrade 37-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
