Softball Recap: Penn Hills Has No Trouble Against Mckeesport

Penn Hills lost a heartbreaker the last time they played McKeesport, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's matchup. Penn Hills blew past McKeesport 12-1 on Wednesday. With that win, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 7.5 runs per game.

London Seymore was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those runs were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Brewer, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Penn Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McKeesport only posted an OBP of .111.

The victory got Penn Hills back to even at 2-2. As for McKeesport, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Penn Hills will look to defend their home field on Friday against Fox Chapel at 4:00 p.m. As for McKeesport, they are taking a road trip to take on Seton LaSalle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
