On Friday, it was a hard-fought match, but Forrest County Agricultural had to settle for a 39-36 defeat against East Marion.
Leading East Marion to victory were Natalee Dillon and Saniyah Franklin. Dillon scored six points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Franklin scored 16 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Franklin scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Adrinae Aikens, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Forrest County Agricultural's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for East Marion, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.
Forrest County Agricultural will take on Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. East Marion will take on Resurrection Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
