The Enderlin Eagles's 12-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They secured a 49-45 W over Richland. The win was just what Enderlin needed coming off of a 63-35 defeat in their prior matchup.
Jake Cimbura had an outrageously good game as he scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Preston Dawson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Richland still got an impressive performance from Casyn Syvertsen, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Syvertsen hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Wade Gorder, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Enderlin's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for Richland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Enderlin will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wyndmere/Lidgerwood at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Wyndmere/Lidgerwood is ranked 94th, while Enderlin is ranked 118th). As for Richland, they will head out on the road to face off against Sargent County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
