The Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They strolled past Brookfield Academy with points to spare, taking the game 57-41. This was payback for Milwaukee Lutheran, who suffered a 70-63 loss the last time these two teams met.
Several Blue Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amelia Rigel, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison York, who scored ten points.
Milwaukee Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Brookfield Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milwaukee Lutheran will square off against South Milwaukee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brookfield Academy, they will head out on the road to take on St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
