Lighthouse Christian has won four straight games at home, while North Star has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Lions will welcome the Huskies at 12:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Wednesday, Lighthouse Christian earned a 16-12 win over Glenns Ferry.

Karsten Sweesy was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kasdan Kast was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Xander Ramirez, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI.
Lighthouse Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenns Ferry only posted an OBP of .417.
North Star came out on top against Idaho City on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Huskies were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won nine matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Like Lighthouse Christian, North Star also got a great game from a two-way player: Teague Fox. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Fox was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jace Irwin, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Cole Young was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Lighthouse Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for North Star, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lighthouse Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like North Star struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 12.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
