Brookhaven got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamarius Malone out in front who scored 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Haliburton, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Brookhaven's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Crystal Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Brookhaven will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wingfield at 7:30 p.m. Wingfield is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Crystal Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Yazoo County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yazoo County has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 14.
