The Riverside Military Academy Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cottage Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Riverside Military Academy suffered a rough 51-26 loss at the hands of Notre Dame Academy. Riverside Military Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Riverside Military Academy had strong showings from Alexander Beloyvan, who scored 8 points, and Muhammed Wade, who scored 4 points.
Meanwhile, Cottage was the victim of a rough 63-40 loss at the hands of St. John Bosco Academy on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Cottage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 425th, while St. John Bosco Academy is ranked 167th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Maxwell Lagan, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Kane, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
The losses dropped Riverside Military Academy to 0-2 and Notre Dame Academy to 1-1.
