The Arbor View Aggies will head out to challenge the Coronado Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Arbor View is coming into the game hot, having won their last 12 games.
Arbor View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Centennial, who was ranked 13th at the time (Arbor View was ranked fourth). The Aggies came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-2 on Friday.
Ava Henderson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madilyn Lowy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025. Lilly Easton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Arbor View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Coronado, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Pahrump Valley 3-2.
Aubrey Kallus tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.
At the plate, Bailey Goldberg was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Bendlin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Arbor View's record now sits at 22-6. As for Coronado, their record is now 11-8.
Coronado's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Arbor View has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Coronado, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Arbor View's sizable advantage in that area, the Cougars will need to find a way to close that gap.
Arbor View got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March against Coronado by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Aggies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
