The Lewistown Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 50-25 loss at the hands of Macomb. Lewistown lost against Macomb in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 50-47 score last time.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abby Wiegand, who scored 7 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Johnson, who scored 5 points.
Lewistown has fallen quite a ways from their 22-9 record last season and are now at 2-4. As for Macomb, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewistown will take on Midwest Central/Delavan at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Macomb, they will head out on the road to face off against Central/Southeastern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central/Southeastern will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
