The Social Circle Redskins will head out on the road to square off against the Oglethorpe County Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Social Circle posted their closest win since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Prince Avenue Christian and snuck past 30-27.
Social Circle relied on the efforts of Justin Russell, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds, and Jameccus Hardge, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Oglethorpe County entered their tilt with Jasper County with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Oglethorpe County had just enough and edged Jasper County out 42-40.
Social Circle's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Oglethorpe County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Social Circle came up short against Oglethorpe County in their previous matchup last Tuesday, falling 44-34. Can Social Circle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
