The Trinity Christian Academy Lions waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Fayette Academy 52-28. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Trinity Christian Academy just coasted through the last quarter.
Trinity Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tori Robinson out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. Mary Grace Cleek was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Trinity Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-16 record this season. As for Fayette Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
Trinity Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against University School of Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University School of Jackson will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Trinity Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fayette Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jackson Christian at 4:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Fayette Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 309th, while Jackson Christian is ranked 125th).
