After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Gibson, the DeKalb County Tigers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-32 victory over Columbia Academy.
Columbia Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Charley Rae Hutchison and Addie Slaughter. Hutchison scored ten points along with five rebounds, while Slaughter scored two points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hutchison has scored all season.
The victory got DeKalb County back to even at 6-6. As for Columbia Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
DeKalb County will be playing at home against White County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. White County is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Columbia Academy, they will face off against Franklin Road Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin Road Academy and Columbia Academy are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
