Volleyball Recap: Huntley Find Success

Huntley won the last time they faced Dundee-Crown and things went their way on Thursday too. The Red Raiders walked away with a 2-0 win over the Chargers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Raiders.

Huntley easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-8.

Summer Massow paced Huntley's offense, picking up six kills. Massow got some help from Abby Whitehouse and her ten assists. Whitehouse was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Huntley's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Dundee-Crown, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Huntley will face off against rival Crystal Lake South at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dundee-Crown is set to take on their familiar foe Crystal Lake Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
