Basketball Recap: Gallatin County Piles Up the Points Against North Oldham

After losing to North Oldham the last time they met, Gallatin County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gallatin County Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the North Oldham Mustangs 61-28. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Gallatin County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for North Oldham, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Gallatin County Wildcats face off against the Walton-Verona Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walton-Verona knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Gallatin County likes a good challenge. As for North Oldham, they will venture away from home to challenge Mercy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
