Meanwhile, Columbia lost to Gainesville at home by a decisive 68-51 margin on Saturday. Columbia has struggled against Gainesville recently, as their game on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Lowndes' record is now 7-9. As for Columbia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
Lowndes didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Columbia in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Columbia's Justice Kelly, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
