Briarwood Academy had a senior duo take command as Caroline Stapleton scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals and Kennedy Mosley dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Mosley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Scott, who scored seven points.
The victory made it two in a row for Briarwood Academy and bumps their season record up to 20-3. As for Augusta Prep Day, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Briarwood Academy will head out on the road to challenge Edmund Burke Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Edmund Burke Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season. As for Augusta Prep Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thomas Jefferson Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Augusta Prep Day is coming into the match with five straight defeats at home, meaning Thomas Jefferson Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
