Hardin Northern is 0-6 against Ridgedale since April of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Polar Bears will face off against the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ridgedale will be up against a hot Hardin Northern team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Polar Bears were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over Cory-Rawson on Friday. That's two games straight that the Polar Bears have won by exactly ten runs.

Hardin Northern let Baylie Bacon and Addy Bacon run wild. Baylie went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Addy went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Baylie is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailtyn Whitaker, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hardin Northern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Ridgedale made easy work of Arlington on Thursday and carried off a 12-1 victory. With that win, the Rockets brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Kenzie Delaney was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Delaney was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Alexis Burton was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Jillian Slaughterbeck was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Hardin Northern pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Ridgedale, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Ridgedale's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hardin Northern has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. It's a different story for Ridgedale, though, as they've only averaged .354. Will they be able to contain Hardin Northern's hitters?
Hardin Northern might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Ridgedale in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Polar Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
