The Vinemont Eagles will be home for the holidays to greet the Brindlee Mountain Lions at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Vinemont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
Even though Vinemont has not done well against Fairview recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Vinemont came out on top against Fairview by a score of 44-33. The victory was just what Vinemont needed coming off of a 75-54 loss in their prior match.
Vinemont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reagan Robinson, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The game was Robinson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Burks, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Brindlee Mountain had to settle for a 39-36 loss against Pennington on Friday. Brindlee Mountain has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Vinemont has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Brindlee Mountain, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Everything went Vinemont's way against Brindlee Mountain when the teams last played back in January as Vinemont made off with a 50-24 victory. Does Vinemont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brindlee Mountain turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
