Sanger is a perfect 4-0 against Justin Garza since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Apaches will host the Guardians at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Sanger 1.7, Justin Garza 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Sanger headed into their last match having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Sanger West let them put that streak behind them. The Apaches were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Hornets on Tuesday. Considering the Apaches have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma Hernandez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. Hernandez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Arianah Cardoso was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aundrea Orosco, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.

Meanwhile, Justin Garza has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.53 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 16-2 to Madera. The Guardians have struggled against the Coyotes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Justin Garza saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aditi Sood, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Sanger's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-4. As for Justin Garza, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.

Everything went Sanger's way against Justin Garza in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Sanger made off with a 13-2 victory. Will the Apaches repeat their success, or do the Guardians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
