The Midway Raiders's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Clinton by a score of 56-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Midway also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Midway was led to victory by Ke?mari McNeil and Tripp Westbrook. McNeil scored 15 points, while Westbrook scored 18 points.
Despite the loss, Clinton still got an impressive performance from Gregory Coxum, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Davis, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Midway has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Clinton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.
Midway will head out on the road to square off against the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Red Springs: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Raiders have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. As for Clinton, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Leopards at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully Lakewood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
