Willows is a perfect 3-0 against Biggs since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Honkers are taking a road trip to face off against the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. Willows has given up an average of 15 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Willows is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Monday. They lost 14-0 to Durham.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Biggs made sure to put some runs up on the board against Portola on Tuesday. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Wolverines have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Riley Harrison made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Arden Vines, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Daisy Seipert was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.
Biggs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Portola only posted a batting average of .111.
Biggs pushed their record up to 21-5 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Willows, their loss dropped their record down to 3-22.
Willows came out on top in a nail-biter against Biggs in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Honkers repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
