 For Massabesic's part,  Bryden Marcotte was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Cassius Hogan was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Deering's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Massabesic, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deering will  square off against Scarborough at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Massabesic, they will head out on the road to  take on  South Portland at 11:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
