St. Elizabeth was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Laurel. The Vikings came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
St. Mark's took down Sussex Tech 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Zachary Whitehead threw for 110 yards and ran for 25 yards in the win.
St. Elizabeth's dynamic duo of Brendan McCloskey and Joey Carrow proved to be unstoppable against the Bulldogs, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. McCloskey threw for 195 yards and 4 touchdowns and Carrow had 178 yards receiving.
Joe Hempill's team's dynamic duo of McCloskey and Carrow proved tough for Laurel to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Aaron Hudson was the best running back in Freelance this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 114 yards as Caravel defeated Glenn Phillips' team. Teammate Darnell Savage added to the ground attack by rushing for 72 yards.
He was 12-19 with 1 interceptions.
Carrow was the best receiver in the league this week as St. Elizabeth beat the Bulldogs.
McCloskey put up the best numbers through the air as the Vikings topped Laurel.
St. Elizabeth's McCloskey and Carrow have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 4-11 quarterback McCloskey has thrown for 310 yards this season, while Carrow has 12 catches for 222 yards. Jack Malloy from Archmere Academy leads the league in rushing with 170 yards.
A big matchup in Freelance this week will be when Conrad Science takes on Moyer Academy. At the moment, the Redskins are in seventh, while Moyer Academy is in sixth.
The Spartans led the league in scoring this week by notching 41 points on the Ravens. Whitehead during the win.
