Irvington Preparatory Academy enjoyed a cozy 74-59 win over the Aviators. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Irvington Preparatory Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.
Irvington Preparatory Academy was led to victory by Major Davis and Javen Medaris. Davis dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, while Medaris scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Davis is crushing the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahmere Evans, who scored 12 points.
Irvington Preparatory Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Thrival Indy Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Irvington Preparatory Academy will take on the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Thrival Indy Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (GEO Next Generation is ranked 428th, while the Aviators are ranked 433rd).
