The Pueblo Warriors can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 66-45 margin over Flowing Wells. The victory was just what Pueblo needed coming off of a 63-39 defeat in their prior game.
Pueblo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jorge Franco, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of David Hernandez, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals.
Pueblo's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17. As for Flowing Wells, they bumped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pueblo will challenge Sahuaro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sahuaro knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Pueblo likes a good challenge. Flowing Wells on the road again on Thursday and play against Canyon del Oro at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th.
