The Case Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Nantucket Whalers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Case will be strutting in after a victory while Nantucket will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, Case earned a 28-15 victory over Millis. The win made it back-to-back wins for Case.
Case's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Orton led the charge by throwing for 155 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Case also got help from Braden Bibeau who showed off his sure hands for 84 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, last Friday just wasn't the day for Nantucket's offense. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 21-0 walloping at the hands of Bristol-Plymouth RVT. Nantucket has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Case's victory bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Nantucket, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Case took a serious blow against Nantucket in their previous matchup back in October of 2018, falling 34-7. Can Case avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
