The Georgetown Bulldogs suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Wednesday. They were dealt a 80-51 defeat at the hands of Loris. Georgetown has not had much luck with Loris recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Georgetown saw an underclassman step up: Trenton Parker scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ean Mitchell, who scored nine points.
Leading Loris to victory were NIGEL MILLER and TYLER BROWN. MILLER scored 17 points, while BROWN scored 17 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that MILLER scored 15 or more points. JACOBIEN LEWIS was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.
Georgetown has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Loris, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.
Georgetown will head out on the road to face off against Aynor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Aynor has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Loris, they will be playing at home against Manning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Manning focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
