The Graham-Kapowsin Eagles will be playing at home against the Kamiak Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Graham-Kapowsin's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Kamiak has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Graham-Kapowsin put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Bethel at home to the tune of 38-7. Given Graham-Kapowsin's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked first, while Bethel is ranked 52nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Graham-Kapowsin had a senior duo take command as Daveon Superales threw for 155 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes and Malachi Durant picked up 66 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Superales hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games.
Meanwhile, Kamiak and Mariner were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Kamiak suffered an agonizing 14-13 loss.
Graham-Kapowsin's win bumped their season record to 9-0 while Kamiak's loss dropped theirs to 1-8.
