The Midlothian Panthers came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Lincoln with points to spare, taking the game 66-52. Given Midlothian's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Lincoln is ranked 902nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alex Gilmore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The game was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Case Garcia, who scored 11 points.
Midlothian pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Lincoln, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Midlothian and Bullard will round out the year against one another at 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday at. Lincoln is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Conrad at 9:00 a.m. on December 27th.
