Last Friday, Wake Forest was the victim of a tough 64-40 loss at the hands of Wakefield. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wake Forest in their matchups with Wakefield: they've now lost five in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Chiquora Miles, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Audra Hillman, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Millbrook was beaten by Rolesville 72-27 on Friday. Millbrook was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-20.
Ariana Morris was Millbrook's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Morris also led the team in rebounds with five.
Lucy Ellis took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Wake Forest dropped their record down to 12-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Millbrook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-16.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Wake Forest have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37.7 rebounds per game.
