The Poteet Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Mesquite Stallions at 6:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Poteet put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Samuell, posting a 65-4 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Poteet who now have four in a row.
North Mesquite fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 42-30 win over Spruce on Friday.
Poteet is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for North Mesquite, their win bumped their record up to 9-18.
Everything came up roses for Poteet against North Mesquite in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 39-9 victory. Will Poteet repeat their success, or does North Mesquite have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
