After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lexington, The Elkhart Elks were happy to have found some success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Florence 48-14 at home. The result was nothing new for Elkhart, who have now won three matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Trystyn Tidrow was on fire: he threw for 291 yards and four touchdowns while completing 93.3% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Chapman, who picked up 169 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Although Florence took the loss, they still got scores from Mariano Palacios and Juan Mendez.
Elkhart's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Florence, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-8.
Elkhart will be playing in front of their home fans against Clifton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Florence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
