It was a good run, but Stanley-Boyd unfortunately witnessed the end of their 19-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McDonell Central Macks. The shutout was out of character for the Orioles seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Kelly Lew paced Stanley-Boyd's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lew got some help from Bailey Sikora and her 21 assists. Player #1 controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Stanley-Boyd's defeat dropped their record down to 38-4. As for McDonell Central, the victory (which was their 36th in a row) raised their record to 40-2.

Stanley-Boyd and McDonell Central should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Orioles (ranked 39th) will meet Owen-Withee (ranked 271st) at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, McDonell Central will challenge Columbus Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (22 vs. 94).
