The Heritage Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 52-40 to Clarke Central. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Heritage of the 44-40 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Tyerra Johnson and Amara Humphries certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Johnson scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Humphries scored 11 points along with two steals.
Heritage has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Clarke Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the court. Heritage will host the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Gladiators will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
