Sammamish is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Cedarcrest is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The RedHawks will host the Red Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Sammamish made easy work of Foster and carried off a 21-4 win.
Kolin Jaster made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Jaster was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (four).
In other pitching news, Josh Perez looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Sammamish got a big performance out of Lincoln Castillo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Castillo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Baum, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, while Cedarcrest put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Foster. The Red Wolves were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Wolves considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Jake Polacek was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Polacek was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Braden Bottemiller was a standout: he got on base in four of his six plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Luke Thompson, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Cedarcrest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .592. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foster only posted an OBP of .286.
Cedarcrest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Sammamish, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
Sammamish came up short against Cedarcrest in their previous meeting back in March, falling 5-0. Will the RedHawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
